Milking Yearling Doe
1st Place - Pricker Patch Farm Delphina - Owned by Kathrin Bateman
Delphina is a doe showing a lot of meat character as well as overall greater depth and width throughout. This leads this doe to have a lot of body capacity. She has great spring of rib and blends smoothly from her neck into her shoulders. She is wide in the Escutcheon which houses a balanced udder with a strong medial suspensory ligament. Greater extension of her pro sternum, hips slightly lower than shoulder height, as well her teats pointing more forward would make this doe even more correct. She stands over Seraphina for her smoothness of blending, having a straighter top line in the area of the chine, greater width in the chest floor and more depth in the heart girth.
2nd Place - Olive Knoll Seraphina - Owned by Kathrin Bateman
Seraphina has a beautifully correct udder. It is highly, widely and tightly attached. The udder has a strong medial suspensory ligament. Teats are medium size and point slightly forward when viewed from the side. She is showing good width in her rear between her hocks and increasing depth from her heart girth back into her barrel. Greater depth at her heart girth, straighter top line in the area of her chine, and greater extension of her pro sternum would make this doe even more correct. Seraphina is standing over Monique for being slightly wider in the chest floor and what looks to be a higher rear udder attachment.
3rd Place - Gray J Monique - owned by Kathleen Daniels
Due to the picture being to far away I could not fully evaluate her udder. This doe is showing me a correct slope to her rump which in turn gives her good rear leg angulation when viewed from the side. She also has good width between her hocks in the rear. Greater width in the chest floor and a higher rear udder attachment would make this doe more correct.
Milking Doe 24 months to 3 years old
1st Place - Serena Kinders Trude's Tricuit - Owned by Sue Beck
Triscuit is very correct in her structure. She has a moderate length neck which blends back into a straight strong top line to a correctly sloped rump (though her tail down gives it the appearance of being steep). She has good extension of her pro sternum, good depth at her heart girth which extends back into her barrel. She has great width in her escutcheon which provide ample room for her udder. Her rear udder attachment is highly, widely, and tightly attached. She is showing a lot of meat character and is standing on correct legs and feet. A stronger Medial suspensory ligament with teats pointing more forward would make this doe even more correct. Triscuit stands over Cosette for shorter neck with greater muscling which blends more smoothly into shoulders which are wider when viewed from above.
2nd Place - Redstone Castle Kinders Cosette - Owned by Gail Stuart
Cosette is a doe showing great extension to her pro sternum. She has a straight top line that is correct in her shoulders being slightly higher than her hips. Her udder is proportionately large with uniform halves and good teat placement. More width in her chest floor would make this doe even more correct. She is standing over Annabelle for the greater extension of her pro sternum with greater development in the brisket and a more correct top line.
3rd Place - Long's Annabelle - Owned by Amy Lyons
Annabelle is showing good width across her shoulders back into her hips and good depth at the heart girth extending back into the barrel. She has good width between the hocks. Her udder has plenty of capacity and her teats are correctly placed with teats pointing slightly forward. Somewhat smaller teats, a higher rear udder attachment, and more width in the chest floor would make this doe more correct. She stands over Sierra for her depth in her body and a more correct slope to her rump.
4th Place - River Birch Farms Sierra - Owned by Kirsten Simons
Sierra is a balanced doe with comparable width in her chest and her rear. She has a high rear udder attachment but a wider and tighter attachment would make it more correct. A more correct slope to her rump leading to greater rear leg angulation as well as front legs set well under her front end would make this doe even more correct. She is standing over Wish for a more correct set to the rear legs and for showing less dairy character.
5th Place - Jolly Little Kinders As You Wish - owned by Laura Kennett
Wish has good width in her escutcheon. Her udder was difficult to evaluate due to shadowing and it appears to not be full. More meat character and overall greater body capacity would make this doe more correct.
Milking Doe 3-4 years old
1st Place - Still Meadow Echo - Owned by Ashley Kennedy
Echo is a doe with a lot of body capacity stemming from the extension in her pro sternum, depth in her heart girth extending back into her barrel and the width in the chest floor. She is showing a lot of meat character. Her udder has uniform halves with correctly sized teats. A more correct set to her rear legs and a higher rear udder attachment would make this doe even more correct. She stands over Kate for a more correct slope to her rump as well as having an udder in milk.
2nd Place - Still Meadow Kate - Owned by Ashley Kennedy
Kate has a a lot of the same strengths as Echo. This placing is very close and they are separated by the slope to the rump and the fact that Kate does not have an full udder to evaluate. A straighter top line in the area or the chine and a correct set to the rear legs would make this doe even more correct. Kate’s structure is considerably better than the rest of the class and is why she is standing in second place. She stands over Gold specifically for her width in her chest floor and the greater extension of her prosternum.
3rd Place - River Birch Farms Spot O Gold - Owned by Kirsten Simons
Gold is a very deep doe with good width in the rear for her udder. Her rear udder attachment is high and wide and there a good separation of the halves by her medial suspensory ligament. A straighter top line in the area of the chine, great extension of her pro sternum, and greater width in the chest floor would made this doe more correct.
4th Place - Jolly Little Kinders Cameo Rose - Owned by Laura Kennett
Rose and Jesse have a lot of trade offs in how they were placed. Where one was better the other
needed improvement. Both does had good width between the hocks. Rose is showing more dairy
character with less muscling and additional width and depth would help to make the doe more correct. Stronger more resilient pasterns, a straighter top line in the area of the chine, and more smoothness of blending throughout would make Jesse more correct. From the pictures it was difficult to fully evaluate the udders on these does.

Milking Doe 4 years and older
1st Place - Pur et Simple Libbey - owned by Kirsten Simons
Libby is showing great over all body capacity stemming from the extension of her pro sternum and the increasing depth from her heart girth back into her flank. She has great width in her escutcheon which provides ample room for her capacious udder. The rear udder attachment is high but I would like to see more width in the attachment. Teat placement and size are very good. Greater width in the chest floor and a more correct set to her rear legs would make this doe even more correct. She places over Dahlia for her increasing depth from her heart girth back into her flank and an overall more pleasing udder.
2nd Place - Still Meadow Dahlia - Owned by Ashley Kennedy
Dahlia and Buttlerfly are very similarly structured does. Dahlia excels in the extension of her prosternum while Butterfly has more width in the chest floor. Both does could be improved by more correct slope to the rump and set to the rear legs. Dahlia is standing over Butterfly for having an udder in milk with more width between the hocks.
3rd Place - Still Meadow Butterfly - owned by Ashley Kennedy
(Butterfly's placing - see above)
4th Place - Serena Kinders Boltina - Owned by Gail Stuart
Boltina is standing at 4th due to the fact that she could not be fully evaluated due to missing or unclear photos. From what I can tell she appears to have adequate body capacity. She has a capacious udder with nicely sized teats but her rear udder attachment was not fully in the picture. This doe could have possibly placed much higher with proper pictures to evaluate.
5th Place - Serena Kinders Pickles - Owned by Gail Stuart
Pickles and Pebbles pictures I was not able to fully evaluate due to shadows or darkness in the pictures. I can see that Pickles has more width in the chest floor and is why she stand over Pebbles in the placings.
