Buck – 2 years old
1st Place - Bramble Patch Kinder Blaze - owned by Sue Beck
Blaze is showing me greater muscling throughout. He has good overall body capacity due to the greater extension of his pro sternum as well has the depth in his heart girth extending back into his barrel. Additional width in the chest floor would make this buck even more correct. Blaze stands over Scottie today for his greater width in the escutcheon and the greater extension of his pro sternum.
2nd Place - Still Meadow Scottie - owned by Kathleen Daniels
Scottie is also showing a lot of meat character in his overall muscling. He has good length of body with properly laid on shoulders and depth at the heart girth. Additional width in the rear, increasing depth in his barrel increasing back to the flank, as well as a more correct set to his rear legs would make this buck even more correct. Scottie stands over Edgar today for his greater depth in the heart girth, length of body, and his overall greater muscling.
3rd Place - Pricker Patch Farm Edgar - Owned by Laura Kennett
Edgar is a very square standing buck showing balanced width in his front and rear. He is showing good spring of rib. Overall greater body capacity and muscling as well as a better set to his rear legs would make this buck more correct. Edgar is standing over Davinci for being more smoothly blended from his neck into his withers, having a stronger top line in the area of the chin and for showing me more meat character.
4th Place - My Three Kids Davinci - owned by Rachel Toroni
Davinici is showing me correct rear leg angulation when viewed from the side. He is very dairy and would need greater overall width throughout, greater overall muscling throughout, greater extension of his pro sternum and stifles held tighter to his barrel to make this buck more correct.
Buck – 3 years and older
1st Place - Serena Kinders Charlie Browner - Owned by Sue Beck
Charlie Browner had greater extension of his pro sternum, slightly greater width in his escutcheon as well as he looks to be more smoothly blended from his neck into his shoulders and this is why he is standing over the buck in second place. A more correct set to the rear legs would make this buck even more correct.
2nd Place - Serena Kinders Trude's Fantin - Owned by Sue Beck
Fantin is another very nice buck showing overall great depth in his body as well as width in the chest floor and between the hocks in the rear. He stands over Rusty for more width in the rear with his stifles held tighter to his body. A straighter top line in the area of the chine would make this buck even more correct.
3rd Place - Still Meadow Rusty - owned by Ashley Kennedy
Rusty is standing on strong straight front legs with good extension in his pro sternum and good width in the chest floor. He is showing more depth in his heart girth which extends back into his barrel. He stands over Cyclone for that increasing depth and greater width in the chest floor. A more correct rear leg assembly with stifles held closer to the body and more width across his top line would make this buck even more correct.
4th Place - Glenn Creek Cyclone - owned by Kirsten Simons
Cyclone is a very square standing buck showing good development in his brisket. He is placing over Captain Jack for more width in the rear and having a more correct set to his front legs. Greater body capacity with greater width in the chest floor and increasing depth from his heart girth through his barrel to his flank would make this buck more correct.
5th Place - Narnia Farms Z&R's Captain Jack - Owned by Kirsten Simons
Captain Jack has good muscling throughout. Greater width in the chest floor and in the rear especially in his escutcheon, a straighter top line in the area in the chine, and more correct set to his front legs with less toeing out would make this buck more correct.
